This project is a partnership with Business 201 class at the MacEwan School of Business. Mission Possible promotes hands-on learning of business practices and community learning. The goal is to drive innovation and create a culture of entrepreneurship among first and second year business students. Business ventures are comprised of 3-5 students and each student is given a $5 start-up loan. Students are given the opportunity to be creative and innovative while sustaining a well-developed business idea and form their business over a five-week period. With only a $5 loan per student, it would seem impossible! Yet, the possibilities are endless when it comes to the variety of business ventures students pursue. Past projects vary from carpet cleaning businesses to homemade hand sanitizer—proving that their mission is indeed possible.

Each term students rise to the challenge and continue to exceed the expectations of everyone, including the members of our community. The most impactful part of Mission Possible is its effect on the local charities that receive between 10-100% of the profits from the various business ventures. This past academic year alone, students donated over $62,000. Since Mission Possible's inception, over $115,000 has been donated to various charities. The outcome of this project is not only the fact that students will have experience with running a business but they will have a positive impact on the community.

Mission Possible Champions for Winter 2015

Bliss Fizz & Co.

The first place, most incredible venture we have come across today is Bliss Fizz & Co.; a venture selling handmade bath bombs. All ingredients are 100% biodegradable, locally sourced, and safe for the environment - including the packaging! Bliss Fizz donated 85% of their profits, which amounted to $990.25, to the charity Dogs with Wings. In the end, Bliss Fizz was our Mission Possible champions and created life long bonds and the venture will continue on.
