What is Enactus?

Enactus is an international non-profit organization that brings together student, academic and business leaders who are committed to using the power of entrepreneurial action to improve the quality of life and standard of living for people in need.

Operating worldwide in over 1,600 universities, Enactus works to establish student programs across the world that are entrepreneurial and sustainable. With the support and encouragement of their faculty advisors and a Business Advisory Board, Enactus students apply business concepts to develop community outreach projects that improve the quality of life and standard of living for people in need.

In 2011 a group of passionate students founded Enactus MacEwan. Starting with a small team of only 11 members, we have grown tremendously in the last few years in both membership size and the scope of our projects. Currently we have a dedicated team of 6 executives, over 50 members, and 2 faculty advisors.

Meet the team!

We are located in Edmonton, the capital region of Alberta. A city that is vibrant and well renowned for our entrepreneurial spirit and endeavors. Edmonton is a region of high growth in both population and size of economy. In 2011 it was the second fastest growing metropolitan area in Canada. The fast growth of Edmonton can not only been seen in the streets, but also in the post-secondary institution we hail from.

MacEwan University, the home of our Enactus team, became Alberta’s sixth university in 2009. Since then our student body, the stature of our degrees, and programs offered have grown tremendously. We are proud to be on the cusp of an institution that is using innovative methods to brand themselves as a sustainable, creative, and top respected post-secondary institution in Canada.
